I'm almost positive it's either the power pack or the coils....and possibly just a bad wire connection somewhere. Going to check the wire connections and then figure out a way to test the power pack and/or coils while on the water....

Last night I had some spare time so i started removing all the grounds...some of them, especially the power pack ground, were terribly dirty. The ground to the power pack had so much of that liquid neoprene between it and the block it's a wonder how it even ran.

I'm kinda hoping this will clear up my intermittent issues.

Looks like cleaning up those grounds did the trick.

She's running like a champ.

I stay the hell away from all lakes on holiday weekends.

In Wisconsin, I'd say 75% of all boats in the state are run twice a year. Labor day weekend, and July Fourth weekend. That's it.

You should see the idiots at the boat docks. The marina's love these two weekends because the boats just come flooding in with problems since they haven't been run in a year and absolutely zero winterizing done.

Boat's doing great.

I fixed the problem. Ended up being a really nasty ground on the power pack. Been running great ever since. I get it out probably twice a week or so.
