Default New to the Tackle Box

Just found the tackle box, wanted to introduce myself. I live in SoCal, in the Santa Clarita Valley, near Six Flags Magic Mountain. I fish Castaic lake fairly frequently and do quite a bit of saltwater on 3/4 and 1 day boats out of Ventura and Oxnard. Got my 10 year old girl on fire for the salt recently! She's hooked!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. If anyone out there is near me or plans to go out of any of the landings I mentioned or wants to hit up Castaic, drop me a line. I'm always looking for fishing partners. I don't own a boat, but if anyone ever wants to split a rental at Castaic or would ever want to split gas on a saltwater trip let me know. I don't need to much notice, my work allows me to dictate my own schedule.

I look forward to speaking with everybody out there and posting my first report soon. I'll also be posting all my little girls posts for her through my account.

Tight Lines!

Awesome pics! I live locally and was out at Castaic last weekend with no luck? You ever fish the lagoon dock? Any luck? I'm debating on whether or not to take my girls there or Piru.

Pyramid is getting a lot of striper boils right now. Castaic has been really slow, been about a week since I was there last. I don't really fish the lagoon all that often.

We do do a lot of saltwater on the cattle boats. I love taking the kids out to the channel islands, they wind up landing a lot more fish. I know Dana Wharf is running specials right now, 2 for 1 on Tuesdays and $25 per person on twilight boats. Have you ever thought about taking them out? How old are they?

I've taken one charter trip on the Gentlemen this year with two more planned before February. My girls are 7 and 5 so no, not thinking about taking them yet. I usually rent the rigs since I only have fresh water tackle and couldn't imagine reeling in for 3. Someday though!

I've decided to head to the lagoon friday night in hopes of some bluegill for the girls and I'd like a nice evening bass looking for a snack
