Best Catfish lure

We go mostly catfishin' up here and I almost always use Berkley power bait, either fish or blood smell. That stuff really reallly works!

Never caught a single fish on any type of store bought bait around here. Lord knows I've tried them all.

Chicken liver is king in my local rivers.

I've had good luck with all beef hot dogs this year. I cut them into "hook size" slices and put them in a freezer bag and coat them heavily with garlic powder and let them sit in the fridge for a few days.

We use hotdogs or chicken Liver. But we also buy a can of cat food. Tie a string to it, crack it open and throw it out there where we are going to fish. The car food gets in the water and attract the Catfish. When done pull your can back out and you didnt even liter.

Ive never seen or heard of anyone catching a catfish on a store bought anything.. unless its hot dogs.. chickin livers...

Iv caught my catfish on gulp alive minows while they lay "dead" on the bottom with a jig head

I have more success with bacon or hot dogs than any thing..... Use a live bluegill for flathead
