Should be in the 70s now. Craddock Creek near the dam side, betty and becky's creeks, also the blackwater area near Scruggs rd. Here is a report from a friend of mine website:

Largemouth and smallmouth bass are spawning near the shoreline and on points. Sight fishing with bright colored soft plastic lures and tubes will produce when bass are locked on beds or protecting fry. Bass are also being caught around docks using YamaSenko worms and finesse plastic worms (Big Bite, ZOOM, Roboworm) and crawfish imitating plastic trailers (Netbait, ZOOM, Deep Creek) rigged on shaky head jigs. Spinner baits and crankbaits continue to produce around structure, especially when there is a little wind and when fish are found chasing shad. Carolina rigged plastics are also a good choice this time of year.

The Saturday Night Open Bass Tournament series held their fourth event of the season at the Gills Creek Marina this past weekend. This event was won by the father- son team of Donnie and Hunter Sink with a weight of 18.15 lb. Mark Vest and Leon Dudley teamed up to take place second with 17.90 lbs, and Glen Sink and Ronnie Lemons placed third with 15.85 lbs. Steve Jordan and Paul Perrault caught the tournament lunker weighing 5.25 lbs. The prior weekend’s tournament was won by Shawn Rice and Billy Martin (18.45 lb.) and this included the lunker weighing 5.45 lb. Second place honors went to the husband-wife team of Matt and Leslie Hall (17.35 lb.) and third place to Mark Vest and Leon Dudley (16.10 lb.). Jake Holland and Everett Wilson teamed up to win the first tournament of the year with a huge 19.25 lb. bag. The following week Jake changed partners and took first place honors again while fishing with Milton Smith (16.65 lb.). Timmy Holland and Randy Horn took second place honors (14.25 lb.) in the first event of the year and the team of Mark Vest and Leon Dudley claimed second place (16.15 lb.) the following week. The father-son team of Herbie and Hunter Altice placed third in the second event this year with a nice bag weighing 15.25 lb.

No problem, hope it helps. Use a split shot rig with a 2/0 hook about 18" below a 1/4 oz split shot. work it like a carolina rig or simply drag it with a 4" shad type bait.

Did not know that. We are supposed to go up to Champlain this week but all the ramps are closed due to flooding and they are expecting 2-5" more rain this week!
