I like to get on the lake in the heat of the summer just before dawn here in Southeastern Oklahoma. I've gotten on the lake when it was so foggy you couldn't see 20 feet in front of the boat. That's when it gets dangerous.

If your talking about freshwater fishing I cant help you there I have never been a big freshwater fisherman now saltwater fishing I like to get there about an hour before full high tide at daylight and start fishing then and wait till the tide change and start fishing the out going tide I have always done my best fishing when I hit it like this and the winds cant get over 10mph or I wont go or be out of the NE I have never had any luck when the winds were over 10 and out of the NE.

best time i like to is either early morning around 6 or 7 or either after lunch around 4 til dark. with a south wind to kick the seas up and a receding tide. most saltwater fish are sight feeders so if its foggy or dark your not doin much good
